What’s up with the weather??

One thing Eric and I did not take into consideration is how much influence the weather would have on our wander.

It first altered our path to New Orleans when strong rain and winds forced us inland from our planned night on Dauphin Island.

Our journey from East Texas to San Antonio was delayed by half a day to allow high wind warnings to expire.

In Carlsbad, we extended our stay and had to search for some shelter in the desert foothills Guadeloupe mountains to ride out the winds of Olive. Thank goodness we didn't have snow!

This weekend we planned to stay up Baylor Canyon outside of Mesilla, NM. But have decided to wander around South Western NM to avoid driving in the high winds this afternoon.

None of this is bad, just unforeseen when we started out a month ago.
