It's been almost four weeks since we've been home and with the holidays but I still wanted to share how Foxes got across the country to end our second big wander of 2023.

It took us six days to get from Goodyear, AZ back home. Doing this at the end of November required a bit of meandering to avoid the worst of the country's winter weather. But how best to describe our days on the road. Usually I post many scenic pictures, but I thought perhaps sharing the food we ate would be a little more interesting
Turns out I am not good at remembering to take these photos AND other than the colossal breakfast burrito at Kix on 66 in Tucumcari, NM it's not that interesting!
So next I thought I'd share all our camping spots along the way. Our first 2 nights were to be Harvest Host stays at breweries. We thought we'd just brewery hop each night and that would make an interesting story. Problem was Harvest Host sites have no amenities so we would need to rely on batteries to keep warm in below freezing nights ( and days) and there was very little sun to augment the truck charge on our batteries. So, we scrapped that whole plan and stayed plugged in wherever we stopped. Still some beautiful places and others that were not 😊. You all can decide for yourself
Definitely some amazing scenery along the way from Tonto and Sitgreaves National Forests at sunrise leaving Phoenix to Natchez Trace State park in Tenesee to Elk and Sprout State Foests of Pennsylvania.
Some short videos so you can see what we saw
Turn up volume here, Daniel Norgren's The Flow is so fitting
Who knew Pennsylvania had such remarkable scenery
Nothing as sweet as driving the last mile to our home!!

Preview of Burbon Trail
We are going to Kentucky in April for horses and Burbon. As we avoided the Lake Erie snow storm, we checked out a few of the places around Bardstown and Frankfort. Can't wait to come back and spend some quality time in this beautiful area of Kentucky 🏇🥃☀️
Thank you so much for following us on these adventures. Until next time!
See you on the road
