Eric was still in search of fresh pheasant and no better place for him than out by his family's ranch in eastern Oregon
We love staying with Eric's aunt and uncle. Ted suggested the parking spot that served us well during our visit.
The organized hunt Tuesday morning as well as an evening tour down by the farm had some shooting but no pheasants in their bags. Finally the next morning Eric got his rooster! It is now hanging out in the freezer until he becomes Schupfnudel (or something close to this) when we visit Barb and Ron 😋
While the men were hunting, Toni and I embarked on a project of our own. You may recall, we forgot Nellie's bed. Toni has a great Sew Room. So making a dog bed seemed like the logical thing to do!! She loves it.
Nellie also loves to run in the pastures out here and pretend to hunt. I suspect that actual hunting for Nellie would be an adventure but the clean up would be a nightmare!
