We arrived in Lava Hot Springs, ID on a cool afternoon. When we spent a Sunday morning here 3 years ago it was definitely on our list of places to come back to. So glad we finally made it. Although we looked into day spas here, we ultimately decided the town pools were best. Six separate pools, each with their own temperature ranging from 102 to 112 degrees. This visit didn't disappoint as we discovered the jet pool at a perfect 105 degrees 😎
Since we were staying at the KOA in town, we decided take a stroll down Main Street to experience the town and find some dinner after taking in the mineral waters.
Fun to see the sunset, meet some locals, watch Mike's Vikings win and have a great meal at the fine dining establishment in town, the Riverside Inn.
After a quiet night at our campground, we we're off to Bear Lake for a few days. Situated between Idaho and Utah, it is called the Caribbean of the Rockies for its unique turquoise-blue color, which is due to the reflection of calcium carbonate (limestone) deposits suspended in the lake.

This is a huge tourist location in the summer but we had the entire State Park to ourselves. It was a beautiful afternoon. We walked the campground, toured the entire lake and Eric tried to catch a fish.
The wind came up with the impending change of the weather but it did not deter us from the sunset and our evening fire.
Off to meet our newest grandson a day early with snow being predicted in the wasatch tomorrow. Can't wait to meeet him 💙💙
See you on the road
