I am creating this post in the air, on my way back to Eric and Nellie to continue on our wander.

No beating around the bush. Mom's surgery was successful. No complications. Surgeon commented that the exact surgery was performed twice last Friday. Mom was ready to go home Tuesday while the other patient 10 years younger would remain for further recovery. Way to go Mom!!!
Now for the cool stuff along the way!
Was late into MSP due to SNOW out of Boise. No worries, got my first VIP Porsche transfer to my LGA flight that had already started boarding. It was a sweet ride around the tarmac in a Cayenne that delivered me to the door of my next flight. No boarding pass shown, just walk on! I tried to play it cool, so only a couple of pictures from the car 🚗

Once I arrived, most of my time was spent with Mom. Pouring over pre surgery lists then chatting for hours during my hospital visits. Some may say that 25 hours of talking to your mom over 4 days is a chore. I have a different point of view. We caught up after my months of wandering, we laughed at the memories we shared, we discussed gardening, pets, music, kids, grandkids, travel, bucket lists, health, hopes, pain, high points, low points and countless other topics to pass the days. I feel truly blessed we were given this opportunity even if it was in a hospital ❤️
The other silver lining of my wander home was my children and grandchildren. Two of our girls live close, each with one son. I stayed at Megan's house which allowed her 1year old, Theo, to remember me. 3 months gone is a long time in such a short life!! It was such a delight when he finally came in for a hug. Such a wonderful little guy, exploring his world as he gains confidence in his walking every day! Many many thanks to Meg and Dan for lending me their car, feeding me meals, and letting me stay during mom's recuperation.
I was also was able to enjoy some time with my eldest grandson, Dean, and his family! At 2 1/2 years old, he is constantly on the go. Telling me about the cars, the windmills, more cars, trackers, trucks, police cars, cranes, ambulances and more cars!! We colored, danced, read books, and built big garages with blocks. But the best part was the absolute joy on his faces as he ran towards me for a hug when we saw each other, 'Nana!!' Love this little boy to pieces with all his excitement and enthusiasm ❤️.
So happy Lauren and Meg made time so we could all be together.
I want to thank all the people who reached out to me and mom during my stay. I wish I could have spent time with all of you but just not enough hours were left in my days. I appreciate all the well wishes and offers to help more than you know.
My sister, Eileen, arrived at mom's house last night to oversee further recovery of the patient. I'm sure everything will continue to improve!
Not sure what our next Grover adventure will be but I'm sure it will be great!
Until next time, see you on the road
