Loads of people have asked me "how is day one of retirement?" Since you all asked, I thought I'd write it down:
Slept in, did some household chores in my jammies, did nothing, went to the gym, washed up and was ready for the day around 1:30pm. It was delightful!
My husband and I had a little afternoon adventure at a local brewery where they served mac 'n cheese topped with crushed Cheetos. It was much better than I anticipated!

I started a new audio book about RVing for beginners. In today's chapter, the subject is Downsizing which has made me reflect on how much stuff Eric and I have. Although we aren't selling our home, we do need to be very mindful of what we will need over the next few months. I certainly don't need 8 pairs of shoes and 6 fry pans! I will start to think about our downsizing plan and how best to implement that plan in the 2 weeks we have before we take off. The tricky part about this is our camper is in Florida and we are in New York so everything we want to bring will need to fit in the back of our truck. Good thing I now have time to do this!
We have decided to begin our wandering on Thursday, January 26th so it will be a busy time getting ready. I'll post again as we get closer to departure.

This is so exciting!!! Safe travels!!!
We love the birdhouse! I'm looking forward to hearing about all of your adventures!
