Stephanie, Mike and Eric had a surprise for me that Saturday we returned from Succor Creek.

Dinner and a show was the agenda for our "almost" last night in Boise.

For those of you who don't know, Pretty Woman is one of my favorite movies, so fitting that we were going to see this musical at the Morrison center but not before a great meal at Little Pearl downtown.

Great night with great people!!

It is now time for more family in eastern Oregon. Vale and his grandparent's ranch are places where Eric spent a lot of time as a child. Although I have visted often, it had never been more than for a few hours visiting with Grandma Thelma, walking along on a pheasant hunt, or saying hello and sharing a meal with Eric's aunts and uncles. This was a wonderful four days to spend time and make cherished memories with this part of our family.
From prior blogs, you may recall that I am not a fan of motorcycles so this part of my story may surprise some of you. Uncle Ted has been trying to give me a 1776 Honda CT90 for quite a few years now.

It is a small trail rider he bought for his kids in the early 80's.
It became a bit of a tease because we had never had a way to get it home. Times have changed on this visit, so Eric and I decided to see if we could get it running. The CT90 engine is much simplier than our old '66 pickup at home; fuel, spark, and carburetor were the three most logical items to tackle.
Cleaning the fuel tank was a necessity but did not result in the bike turning over. Next course of action was the spark! The plug was new but none of us coud see the spark no matter how many ways we tried. We had to know if there was a spark before we went any further!
Then Ted had an idea, a wonderful, awful idea!
Somebody (Eric) should touch the end of the spark plug while somebody (Ted) tries to start the bike..... I wish I had this on video, but picture below gives you a hint of what is to come. It has spark!!

Next up, the carburetor. Soaking overnight did not solve our problems, but the bike actually turned over for a minute after a shot of Carb cleaner. We are getting closer! Disassembling and cleaning the chambers of the carburetor did the trick! So I took her for a spin.
Next day we went for a ride to Bully Creek with Ted and Toni, about a 10 mile trek up and down the gravel roads. I stayed steady at 10 mph and the rest of the crew were great support as I grew more confident. Ted even took over in the tricky parts which I think he thoroughly enjoyed!
Great few days with these folks. Even Nellie enjoyed a romp in the pasture! So grateful for letting us park by the hay shed for days and Toni always having a great meal for all of us to share.
We spent our last night in town with Aunt Carol and Uncle Tom along with Eric's cousin Tony and his wife, Kelly. Lots of laughs and camping stories with this group and thankful they let us park in their side yard for the night.

Back to Boise for one more night to say goodbye to Steph, Mike and all the peeps at the Lux along with a nice lunch with Matt before heading east towards Yellowstone.
See you on the road!
Great pics.....Glad you are enjoying so much..
