Is it really fishing when you catch over two dozen fish in an afternoon? I personally think I just need to call it catching.
We were anxious to get to southern Utah and enjoy some warmer weather but we hadn't
used our fly rods yet this trip. Eric knew the perfect spot to practice our fly fishing skills so we headed towards Haggerman, ID. Clear Lake Country Club offers private fishing access to their trout stream and adjacent lake as well as campsites. Perfect place for us!
We started a bit slowly but once we matched the hatch, the rainbows couldn't resist!
Eric kept two of his fish. The bigger one is in the freezer to be smoked when we return home. The other was dinner that night😋. Fresh trout braised in butter and white wine was delicious! Grateful Eric not only cleaned the fish but cooked them too❤️
Next day and we're heading south. Nevada has some amazing scenery on this crisp, sunny day
Next stop is Zion. See you on the road!
